Good dictionary but not easy on the eyes
Customer Rating:  Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3 Score = 3
Collins Concise French Dictionary I'm afraid I can't review from long usage with this dictionary, but I'll give my initial impression. From my short usage of the book, I found that the dictionary itself is excellent, with words shown in many common phrases to demonstrate use, an excellent English/French in action section plus English and French verb tables.

The problem for me is the great contrast between the headwords and the text. The headwords are very bold, and the blue is so very bright (much brighter and bolder than that in the larger Collins French dictionary that I saw), that when repeatedly going from the headword to the text it affects my eyes. It feels as if I'm constantly refocussing. Not so bad if you just want to look up an odd word, but for study it will be too much. What a shame.
