A very complete set for beginners!
| Customer Rating:  | Most of us are familiar with John Edward having seen his television programme Crossing Over on which he communicates with departed loved ones and passes on messages from the other side.
His style, as you might know, couldn't be more different from the stereotypical psychic at the end of the pier gazing into a crystal ball and sounding like a Count Dracula impersonator.
Edward calls it like he sees it and even though he's dealing with people who are, in most instances, still grieving he doesn't pull his punches - albeit in a loving and humorous way. And so it's understandable that he's developed quite a following on both sides of the Atlantic.
His tours sell out very quickly. Plus he seems to prefer to stay stateside so it would be rather difficult to train under him. Well, it would have been until he released Developing Your Own Psychic Powers. This 6-CD set is modelled on his workshop. So, it's the next best thing to having him there, guiding you.
The topics covered range from meditation, psychic self-defence, angels and guides, unleashing psychic potential to psychic tools in the workplace. There is even a walkthrough on how to conduct a psychic reading.
The format is a mixture of lecture and guided meditation which leaves you feeling like you got your money's worth. Edward includes exercises, personal tips and ideas on how to advance once you progress.
Of course, a set of CDs cannot replace the personal interaction that plays an essential part in psychic development. But for those who want to work on their own or who cannot find anyone to train under, this is a good place to start.
The shelf of psychic CDs is overcrowded and yet Developing Your Own Psychic Powers still stands out. |
Interesting for those that are just starting out in psychic work
| Customer Rating: | I am a HUGE fan of John Edward, I have seen him live and am amazed at his genuine link with the Spirit world. I like his approach to the work and to the spirit (both living and dead.)
However, I was quite disappointed with these CD's and cannot honestly say that they are value for money. The 6th CD claims to assist in directing a psychic sitting but lacks depth and is really John repeating himself over and over. There is no real advice on how to conduct the session as such - so if you are tempted to buy this product for that purpose you will not get what you want.
If you are just beginning on your psychic unfoldment journey I am sure you will glean a mass of information here. If you are already a working psychic/medium and looking to hone your skills these are not the CD's for you. |
Excellent beginning!!!!
| Customer Rating: | | I am pleased to now find this audio set available on CD as my tape player recently devoured one of the tapes. I have used it for over a year following the guided visualization exercises daily and my husband has recently started to meditate using the tapes. It is an excellent beginning to any psychic or spiritual development yet it can be used (particularly tape 1) just to obtain a more calm everyday existence. At times John Edward does speak too quickly yet by remembering the'guide' that he provides, the exercises can be done with lightly relaxing music and as much time can be taken as one feels necessary. I believe that using this series has had a positive influence in my life and my husband already reports positive changes. John Edward should be given a medal for creating this series because in my opinion it is fantastic, realistic and an excellent beginning to any psychic or spiritual development if one chooses this direction. If your stressed, have a negative outlook on life or if you are simply looking for an alternative to your regular meditation routine ... you should buy it today. |

| Customer Rating: | | Just to let john edward fans aware that the cd version of "developing your psychic powers" is available. I havant yet started it. The reviews i have read so far say its worth it. I have read the book "crossing over" and that was excellent so if that is anything to go by the cd's will be the same! |

| Customer Rating: | | John's american voice is easy to listen to, although, at times he seem's to speak quickly. It is as if you are there taking a class with him, step by step he takes you through all the stages to assist you with meditation, protecting and healing your aura, meeting your spirit guides, enhancing your psychic abilities and readings. The first side of each tape gives explanations for each subject with some examples of his personal experiences and on the second side of each tape, he talks you through the different exercises. Very easy to follow and very helpful, I was amazed how relaxed I felt having completed the first tape which covers breathing and meditation. |
