Poorly Written, Lacking Substance
Customer Rating:  Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1
I couldn't wait to buy this book when it was first released; but despite my enthusiasm and the author being a newspaper columnist, I found it extremely disappointing and poorly written. I re-read it in Dec '08 hoping to discover something new, but again I was disapponted, the first half is soooo repetitive... I kept dozing off - on and on and on about "how awful I looked" - it was just so hard to finish. I guess there must have been some truth in it, as her illness/experience was documented and she mentions having contact with the royal family on more than one occasion. Save your money and give this book a miss - or you can have mine "free" for the cost of the p&p!!!

An absolute corker!

This book is an absolute corker!

Written in a very honest, straightforward way by former Times columnist Hazel Courteney, it describes an almost overwhelming spiritual experience she had in 1998 and her subsequent communications with Spirit. She calls the spirital experience that she underwent a 'spiritual emergency'; she describes how the 'Divine light' that is sent to all people was turned up to her 'full volume', giving her an Awakening in which she had the powers of a Spiritual Master. Controversially, she claims that to prevent her from being overwhelmed, she was 'overshadowed' by the Spirit of Princess Diana in order to assist her, and she had communications with Diana.

Those looking for more gossip etc about Diana will be disappointed. This is a book about the power of the Human Mind and what we can all achieve when we awaken to that power.

Whether you believe in Hazel's claims or not, this book is a compelling read and extremely thought-provoking.

DIVINE INTERVENTION? - NOT LIKELY

Nice packaging but sadly missing a lot of what was promised. Having read a lot of spiritual books over the past 30 years I can say that there are more books today than ever, but they say less and less. If you want a proper read pick up a book from a well recognised and experience spiritualist.
This book should be reclassified as fiction and placed next to the exorcist on the book shelf.
