Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com What a disappointment | Customer Rating: | I expected to be intrigued and enthralled by this book but found it slow, repetitive and more a guide to where Piers goes to eat than what could have been a distinctively more humourous and interesting account of some of the more colourful characters in show biz that he has met. | vain, moi? | Customer Rating: | Started reading this book feeling I would probably abandon it after the first few pages but found it highly addictive. Piers certainly has an ego the size of Mount Everest and a Rhino's skin but gratifyingly a few small drops of humanity and even compassion leaked through. The narrative...written diary style...was never so longwinded to make it boring and went from day to day at a refreshing pace. An ability to laugh at his own shortcomings seemed to cover up more hurt than he wanted us to know he had suffered. A true survivor. I shall now read more of his work | Piers | Customer Rating: | I have to say it isn't as good as his first book, this is probably because his first book spans 10 years of a hectic life.
This book spends alot of time talking about America's Got Talent, which had he done it in the time frame of his first book, wouldn't have got a look in.
| fabulous read | Customer Rating: | I love it. it's written in an easy style and with honesty, even about how dreadful his behaviour in the past has sometimes been, very entertaining | We know who you are now......! | Customer Rating: | | I really do like Piers Morgan, I dont care what anyone says, I find him quite a dish really.... I really enjoyed this book, it is amazing how he has managed to turn his life around, from being sacked to jetting over to LA. He doesnt really take him self to serious and I think that does come across in the book. He will tell you everything that happens warts and all, he doesnt kid himself that he is Mr Popular, you either love him or hate him... I enjoy his writing so much that I always read his back page in the Sunday Magazine, it is like a follow on of his book. Well worth reading, lets hope he doesnt eventually believe his own hype! |
