Its OK but not great.
| Customer Rating: | | Better than the last but not as good as her first books. This book left me lukewarm. There are too many convenient coincidences in the plot which were just a bit too easy and obvious - especially the ending. He was too nice and she was too tortured and I found her character irritating. I kept wondering why he was bothering. IMO this book is OK but I know Gracie can be better so I was disappointed. |

| Customer Rating: | This is the first book I have read of Anne Gracie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story is about one of four soldiers returning home after the war. The heroine is a lady who has lost all her family and her father has left her with no home. They meet on the road when as strangers he offer her some kindness at her lowest ebb and he then turns out to be the new owner of her family home.
I enjoyed this book so much, I have now ordered another Anne Gracie novel and can't wait for it to arrive. |
