That so many people take this tosh seriously is amazing to me. The book is a mish-mash of recycled new age and conspiracy theory waffle that would make a great parody of this kind of thing were it not meant in earnest.

`I'm ready to go anywhere, no matter how apparently bizarre, because I want to know the truth' (from page 34) I am giving this one a five as this is such an incredible, in every sense of the word, 200 pages of concentrated paradigm-busting that the only alternative is to give it no stars. I have read most of Mr Icke's 500 page giant conspiro-tomes and I back-read this one after reading his latest (a 600 pager) I don't know if it helps having read the other stuff, but his has been an incredible trip, although `Illusion' goes beyond anywhere else in even the Icke universe - it isn't just the material world that is illusory here, it is the Afterworld and the perceived `need to reincarnate' that is illusory too - even whilst Icke accepts their innate existence at one level. None of this may be true - I suspect, though, that the fundamentals are truer than most books one is likely to read - so despite where I disagree (for example, his ranting at people who don't like casual foul language or casual nudity - get-over-it 1960s twaddle) this is quibbling - David Icke is a trailblazer who took the full weight of national ridicule on his shoulders, refused to back down and defied the odds by becoming an international figure, and if one doesn't like it, one should write one's own book. Meanwhile, if I can ever achieve the desired state of `Oneness in awareness of itself' that Mr Icke prescribes, I know I will owe him for this eternity and the next!

Incredible work from an amazing man,this author will push you down the rabbit hole as far as your willing to go? I never thought David would take this route but i am very pleased that he has. People just dont get that many of us in the so called western world are stuck in an indoctrination bubble. Most of the world no nothing until they seek in these areas! If we all took this route in life our minds would be sent into infinity,awesome work.

do not listen to anyone trying to put off david icke or his theories, read it for yourself it will completely open your eyes, the guy couldnt be a crazy man if he tried. His books are incredibly logical, most of it basic common sense - all about the system, the way the world goes round, who controls the world. It will make you see the world in a whole new perspective nothing is how it seems.
