Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com "you alone are responsible for yourself" | Customer Rating: | I've been reading self-help material since my youth, and this small book, which is the size of my hand and the width of my little finger, is a distillation of the best of all of them...pearls of wisdom, extracted from the ocean of spiritual truth. It is not written in Paramahansa Yogananda's usual rich style, and he has obviously kept this very abreviated and concise for a reason. There are no cute stories and "fillers" to illustrate his points, and at times his directness could be labeled "tough love"."Attunement with the Divine Will is the most important factor in attracting success". The main theme of the book is being in harmony with the Divine Will, saying it is man's highest obligation. If one follows the principles in this book...the guidelines for meditation (pg.28), and eliminating fear, "Fear Exhausts Life Energy" (pg. 22), are essentials...freedom, happiness, and success will follow. In "The Need for Self-Analysis" (pg. 16), the great guru describes another essential, which is finding one's mission in life, saying that though the ultimate purpose is to return to God, "...you also have a task to perform in the outer world", and he cautions (on pg. 30) that the things one may "want", but actually not "need", could be detering you from that objective. This pocket-sized book is a treasure, powerful, and amazingly helpful. | Felt very good | Customer Rating: | | I felt really happy when i read this book. This book is very much inspiring who ever reads it I practised many contents of this book and felt that they are working very well. Finally i thank the author for sharing those views and plead him to write many more books like this.Thank you. | If you buy one self-help book, make it this one | Customer Rating: | | In a short and concise form, Yogananda explains exactly what the title suggests - the law of successs. Other books spend hundreds if not thousand of pages and yet cover only some of the essential truths in this wonderful little book. | THE TRUTH MADE SIMPLE | Customer Rating: | | For the process of discovery to be said in so few few words;complete with method is a treat for most busy minds to embrace. All one need do is practise and trust, life as it should be. | A thorough presentation of the prerequisites to success | Customer Rating: | | In a style that is concisely deductive, the author presents, in this short booklet, the meaning of success, the methods for its achievement, and the principles underlying those methods. The booklet conveys with clarity, methods that an individual can immediately put into practice. All that is needed is a few minutes of perusal rather than hours of wading through several hundred pages. Among other things, booklet treats positive thinking, introspection, self control, and above all, harmony with the Divine plan. In an age when men want to succeed, not only materially and mentally, but also spiritually, the methods presented in this book are apt. |
