Excellent value for money

This is a really good bargain, especially for those of us who love reading comedy scripts. Here you can witness, on the page, three entire series and two Christmas specials (20 episodes) and thus the comedy genius of Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Of a similar ilk to John Sullivan's Only Fools and Horses and almost as funny, this really is worth buying if you are a fan. Great reading.

The perfect book for the porridge fan.

I was not disappointed with any section of this book, it gives a good insight in to all parts of the series. As well as the biograhphy of the of the two writers and the main actors there's details on each episode and a few details on some of the actors who had a small part or where just extras (seen but not heard).
The final section asked some prison officers to comment on what they thought of the show.
All in all a book well worth a look and a must for all fans of porridge, Ronnie Barker or good British comedy
