Classic Donegan
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
Having read Four Iron in the Soul, I devoured this book by Lawrence Donegan. He has once again produced a golf book that is not a stuffy look at how the tournament is run but is more about the view for the fans. What Donegan does is, I'm sure, soething that many golf fans wish they could do.

The book had me laughing out loud in places and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The only downside is that it was so short. I could quite happily have continued reading it for another 140 odd pages.

Where was the twist?
Customer Rating:  Score = 2 Score = 2 Score = 2 Score = 2 Score = 2
I can only assume that the authors of some of the reviews that this "little gem" received were friends of Donegan or reading a different book. Parts of it are mildly interesting but the long awaited "twist" at the end is a massive anti-climax. Sorry, but not my cup of tea.

Great but Short

This is vintage Donegan. However it is more like a long article than a hardback book.

More Please !

Just like Donegan's tee shots - this book is too short.
Continues in the vein of "Four-iron in my soul" - very observant and very funny. This book will cause a few red faces in the golf marshalling world - worth reading (maybe a bit dear at a tenner for the hardback !) (Yes, Stuart you can borrow mine !).
I would also recommened Californian Dreaming if you like Donegan's wit and style - it opens up the world of United Staes Used Car Sales Techniques ?
