This really is an indespensible item for anyone even contemplating stopping smoking. The author used to smoke 100 a day for 3 decades so he knows his subject matter!!He gives very matter-of-fact, no nonsense answers to all the questions you always wanted to ask about quitting, but didn't dare to.If you want to stop being a nicotine addict this book will definitely help.

fantastic!!

Has an answer for every excuse you can think of!!! Brilliant. It's only been six days but I don't think I will ever smoke again - what's the point???

Thanks, Mr Carr!

I bought Allen Carr's "The only way to stop smoking permanently" three years ago. It took me nearly 6 months to make myself pick it up and read it, I was so scared it wouldn't work. Then I read the book. I quit smoking 2 and a half years ago.

This little book I bought as a reminder. I have actually rarely been tempted, but very occasionally I see this on the shelf and flick through a few pages. It reminds me of the awful habit I have now left behind...

Become a non-smoker today!!!

I read this tiny little book one evening and was a non-smoker by the next morning. And this was more than 2 years ago! The trick is to start thinking in a different way. It is unbelievably simple, you don't need huge amounts of will power or self discipline, just your own free choice. It's healthier, cheaper, cleaner and you get to feel very self-empowered. Do it today.

Much better value than ten Marlboro Lights

If you smoke, this book will be the best £2.50 you ever spend. There's no magic secret to Allen Carr, but he does have a marvellous way of debunking all the myths that smokers use to persuade themselves that they're not infact hopelessly addicted to a poisonous drug.

Don't bother buying the full edition of this book - this small edition has all the content without the repetitiveness, and furthermore can be carried in a pocket and whipped out if ever the urge for a cigarette strikes.

There is one issue on which I strongly disagree with Carr. He claims that you will give up without putting on weight - and yet in the same book acknowledges that cigarettes are an effective appetite suppressant. I defy anyone to stop smoking and not find themselves munching at food more than they previously did. Partly this is for a positive reason - you can actually taste food and drinks if you're not constantly killing your taste buds with foul cigarettes!
