Everyone should read this book

A heart-rending story about an everyday family plunged into the worst nightmare imaginable. Aside from being immensely readable, this book is a shocking exposure of British Justice at its worst. Everything about Sion Jenkins' story should send waves of fear and outrage through all of us - from the appallingly damaging, negative and outright dishonest media coverage, to the "dirty tricks" pulled by the police, prosecutors, and the rest of the justice system. What this story shows us is that a perfectly innocent, perfectly ordinary man can have his life ripped apart, his freedom taken, his reputation shattered; he can lose everything, and there is nothing he can do to stop it. But more importantly, we need to understand, as this book so clearly demonstrates, this could happen to any one of us.

A very interesting read!

I bought the book and found it extremely enlightening. Of particular interest are the chapters dealing with the various statements given by Jenkins' two eldest,natural daughters. Also interesting are reports given by Lois Jenkins describing conversations she had with her daughters about the day Billie-jo was murdered. I have to say I find Bob Woffinden's iterpretation of the childrens statements breathtakingly naive. His dismissal of all Lois Jenkins has to say is great no surprise. It's as though Sion Jenkins were working him with strings! I have often heard Bob Woffinden use the phrase "Window of opportunity" when discussing the murder of Billie-Jo. "The window of opportunity simply wasn't there....Sion Jenkins just didn't have time to commit the murder". Hang on a minute Bob! Jenkins himself gave us the timeline! Isn't it strange that Jenkins attributed "mistakes"in his original statement to his confusion after "Discovering" his step-daughter had been attacked? Oddly enough in many ways these "random" "mistakes" just so happened to paint him in a far more favourable light than in subsequent statements........he didn't enter the house after picking up Lottie......the DIY store trip lasted three quarters of an hour! Now consider the following: Jenkins decides to take his two eldest daughters in the car to the DIY store to buy some white spirit. However, on the way,he suddenly decides that it is not such a bright idea after all. He makes not one but two excuses in order to purposely abort the trip: The first,"it's getting too late" doesn't work as Annie insists they carry on. The second "Ive forgotten to bring any money" finally ensures that they have to head back home. Odd behaviour? of course it is. Later when Jenkins has returned home and "Discovered" the body of Poor Billie-Jo, he leaves his injured daughter to go and sit in his car for a moment. More importanly he makes sure he includes this fact in his police statement. Bizarre behaviour? of course it is. So,can we make any sense of these two incidents? are they related? Yes,there is a very plausible explanation that has, until now been overlooked. An explanation which neatly explains and ties together both events. It is simply that Jenkins was affraid of leaving trace evidence. Forensic evidence that could have placed him in his car and in the DIY store(Had he not aborted the trip) , BEFORE he claimed to have discovered Billie-Jo's body.

FICTION OR FACT	Customer Rating:
This book belongs in the fiction section. The chapter on the 'mystery man' who went round the back then hid in the house as he thought the family were also coming in the back way and was behind the lounge door which is why nobody saw him is farcial.

A great read, but more important than that.	Customer Rating:
Imagine a world in which you are arrested, charged, convicted, reviled and jailed for a crime you didn't commit. Imagine knowing that the true killer of your daughter is still walking free. This book gives you an insight into such a world. It would be frightening enough if it were fiction. Unfortunately, it's fact. Highly recommended.
